Turnitin is a tool that helps lecturers indicate parts in student assignments that use very similar words to other documents in their database. It generates a report based on the percentage of similarities between the assignment and other words in the database. This is called the Originality Report. Turnitin will allow viewing of the Originality Reports, depending on how the lecturer set up the assignment.
