Can’t Find the Book?

You have two options:

Inter-Library Loan - A service provided to our faculty and registered students to help them getting access to book from other libraries. Request can be made at the service counter or through email. .

Suggest a Purchase - Faculty and registered students may suggest the purchase of a book that is not available in our collections, but required for their studies or research. The KMC will need the full details of the book and an explanation as to why the book is necessary.

You will be notified via email when an item has arrived. Electronic articles will be supplied either as an attachment or as a link with access details.

 

Information Search Assistance

This research service assistant provides faculty and research students access to materials that are unavailable in our collections or current subscriptions. Either the KMC will provide the materials requested, or we will direct you to the source of information (where available).


KMC Research Consultation Services

Research consultations are available to INCEIF students, faculty, staff and also subscribers. They usually run 30-60 minutes in length, and involve identifying & evaluating sources or general guidance on how to use the online databases and resources effectively. Describe your project or research topic as completely as possible. This helps to prepare the most appropriate resource suggestions.

Workshop

We conduct workshops on a regular basis to assist INCEIF students and academics on how to use the resources. The dates will be announced through the e-University Learning Management System, the KMC portal and Facebook. The workshop is free unless otherwise specified.

Report a Book Loss

Report your lost or stolen books immediately to prevent accumulated fines for late returns. Our support team will advise you as to next steps.

 

Reserve a Book

Reservations can be made online by placing a hold on a book. You will receive a notification to inform you when the book is available and ready for collection. Reservations can only be made for item(s) that are currently being borrowed by other users.

 

Self-check Borrowing & Return

Book check-outs are conducted through our self-service kiosks. You are required to carry your student card for authorisation. The borrowing of books can only be conducted during office hours.

The return of books can be done 24/7 through our book drop at the entrance to the KMC. Fines will be imposed for any late returns, and billed automatically to your KMC account.


Reading Area

Ample reading space is provided to students and visitors to the INCEIF KMC.

 

WiFi Connection & Computers

Wifi connections are available. The password is available at the Service desk or by contacting the KMC. Personal computers are available, but their use is on a first-come-first-served basis. No reservations are allowed.

Personal laptops are allowed, but the KMC will not be responsible for any loss or damage.
